How to choose a clinic in Turkey safely
Turkey has some excellent clinics, and some you should avoid. These are the questions worth asking before you book anything, whether you use us or not.
Check the clinic and the doctor
- Ask whether the clinic is licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
- Ask who will treat you, by name, and what their qualifications are.
- For hair transplants, ask who does each part of the procedure: the doctor, or a team of technicians.
Look at real results and reviews
- Ask for before and after photos of real patients, taken in the same light and angle.
- Read reviews on more than one site, and look at the negative ones too.
- Be careful with results that look too perfect, or photos you can find elsewhere online.
Get a clear plan in writing
- What treatment you are having, and how many sessions or trips it needs.
- What is included and what is not: hotel, transfers, medication, follow-up.
- How long you need to stay in Turkey before flying home.
Watch out for pressure
A good clinic will never rush you. Be wary of deals that “end today”, pressure to add extra treatments, or being told you need far more work than you asked about.
Plan for aftercare
- Ask what happens if you have a problem once you are home, and who you contact.
- Let your GP or dentist at home know about your plans.
- Check your travel insurance. Many standard policies do not cover planned treatment abroad, so you may need specialist cover.
Give yourself time
Do not plan a tight schedule. Leave time to rest, follow the clinic’s advice on when it is safe to fly, and avoid booking straight back into work.
